INKspired #128 Colour Challenge

Hi everyone,
Welcome to this fortnight's INKspired Blog Hop!

Before me on the hop was Maree McIntosh, who I'm sure gave you inspiration with her wonderful creation using the Colour Combo Challenge below:

Make sure you hop all the way around to check out the wonderful and talented creations everyone has contributed this time round!

How about you have a go with this Colour Challenge?
I would love to see what you come up with!

This colour challenge would have to be the hardest combination of colours for me to gain inspiration, I knew I wanted to use the Good Morning Magnolia Stampset as I wanted something different from a Christmas Card, but how and what was my dilemma!

Here's My Card:

I started with a Sahara Sand card base. My first layer was also Sahara Sand which was popped up with dimensionals, followed by Sahara Sand and Misty Moonlight alternating card strips. These were all attached using multipurpose glue. I also added a piece of Mossy Meadow Striped Ribbon. My flower, from the Good Morning Magnolia Stampset was stamped using Stazon Ink onto Whisper White Thick Cardstock, I stamped 2 images. The colouring was done my using a sponge dauber and Mossy Meadow Ink for the leaves on one image and a Rococo Rose Marker, blender pen and some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush for the flower on the other image. Both images were die cut using the Magnolia Memory Dies, the flower image I cut away the leaves using my snips and layered it on top of the other image of leaves. Using the sponge dauber can get a little messy trying to stay within the lines so layering the flower on top saved this. The leaves were curled using my bone folder then attached to the card layer using multipurpose glue. My sentiment, also from the Good Morning Magnolia Stampset, was stamped using Misty Moonlight on the Sahara Sand strip. I finished the card with some Pearl Basic Jewels.

The inside is layered with Misty Moonlight, then Whisper White. The saying, from Good Morning Magnolia Stampset and has been stamped in Misty Moonlight. The magnolia, from the same stampset has been stamped with Stazon Ink and coloured with a Rococo Rose Marker and Blender Pen, The leaves are coloured using a Water Painter, without the water and Mossy Meadow Ink. Three corners were given the Trio Punch treatment. The layers have been attached using multipurpose glue.

Thank you for stopping by, next up is Narelle Macey,
Looking forward to seeing what she has created this time round

Christmas is only 54 days away
These colours just screamed Christmas as soon as I saw them.

Here's My Card:

I started with a Merry Merlot card base. My first layer was Just Jade, followed by Basic Grey which was embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder, I also added a little Versamark to the embossing folder to add a little shine. I then cut a smaller rectangle from the Just Jade In Colour 2020-2022 DSP as a base for my ornaments, these are from the Christmas Gleaming Stampset, the ornaments were stamped with Merry Merlot on Whisper White and Merry Merlot Cardstock and cut out with the Gleaming Ornaments Punches. I cut 2 strips of Shaded Spruce cardstock and embossed these with the Subtle Embossing Folder to give an impression of ribbon. Two layers of leaves were cut from the Forever Flourishing Dies from Shaded Spruce Cardstock. I arranged the ornaments and attached them with multipurpose glue except one which was popped up with dimensionals. The leaves were attached with multipurpose glue and 3 pearls were stuck as holly. My sentiment is from Tag Buffet stampset and has been stamped with Merry Merlot on Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut, then attached with dimensionals.

The inside is layered with Just Jade, then Whisper White. The saying is from Tag Buffet Stampset and has been stamped in Merry Merlot. The Ornaments and leaves are the same as the front of the card which have all been attached using multipurpose glue.

INKspired #123 Colour Challenge

Hi everyone.
Welcome to this fortnight's INKspired Blog Hop!

I would love to see what you come up with!

Returning from a week at beautiful Merimbula with my lovely husband and great friends, I have been thinking all week what I can do without using flowers for a change.

As Christmas is only 96 days away
I thought I would start on cards for Christmas.
Here's My Card:

I started with a Real Red card base. My first layer was Pear Pizzazz, followed by Crumb Cake - layered on dimensionals (both have been embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder just at different angles, it was then finished off with a beautiful layer of Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.
My stamped images are all from the Returning fave! Christmas Gleaming. The baubles are stamped in Crumb Cake and coloured with Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin Blends, A small amount of colour lifter has been added to give the baubles a real round shape. The first bauble was stuck down with tear and tape adhesive, as glue would not hold on the specialty paper, and the second with dimensionals. The holly leaves have been stamped onto water colour paper with Mossy Meadow Ink and coloured with a water painters using Mossy Meadow ink. The holly is stamped with Real Red Ink on to whisper white cardstock and coloured with Real Red Stampin Blends also the colour is has been lifted a little here also and finished with some wink of stella. The holly and leaves was fussy cut, leaves have been curled using a bone folder and then stuck down with tear and tape adhesive, the holly berries have then been glued on using multipurpose adhesive. The sentiment Merry Christmas has been stamped using Mossy Meadow ink and fussy cut, it is attached to the bauble with multipurpose adhesive and dimensionals. The bow has been made from the gold metallic trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and attached with a glue dot.
For those of you that have crafted with me, know very well that I cannot tie bows, this one just happened for me today so I made sure I attached it to the card.

The inside is quite plain, layered with Pear Pizzazz, then Whisper White. The stamped images are from Christmas Gleaming. The Bauble is stamped in Crumb Cake and coloured using Real Red and Crumb Cake Blends. The dots around the bauble are stamped in Pear Pizzazz. The top and bottom borders are stamped in Mossy Meadow.

INKspired #121 Colour Challenge

Here's My Card - for family and friends that we cannot visit at the moment:

I started with a Pool Party card base. I decided to make my layers off centre this time for a change. My first layer was Pretty Peacock, followed by Old Olive and Mango Melody. I then added a Whisper White Layer which I stamped forming a wreath design with leaves and flowers from the Lovely You stamp set. I die cut a circle using the Stitched Circle dies in Whisper White and put in the middle of my wreath. I cut 2 strips, one from Pretty Peacock and one from Whisper White. The sentiment is from Lovely You stamp set and was stamped in Pretty Peacock and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I then punched the ends of both the Pretty Peacock and Whisper White with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, layered them and attached the sentiment raised with dimensionals. I stamped some flowers again from the Lovely you stamp set in Pool Party and embossed them with Clear Embossing powder, fussy cut them out and added one to the sentiment and the others on top of where they were stamped within the wreath. Some silver pearls completed the flowers and sentiment.

I love the way the clear embossing powder can be used over any colour ink and makes the image pop!

The inside is layered with Pretty Peacock, then Whisper White. The sentiment from Lovely You is stamped in Pretty Peacock. The flowers and leaves stamped in Pool Party, Mango Melody, Old Olive and Pretty Peacock.

A very versatile stamp set with beautiful sayings.
