INKspired #138 Blending

Hi everyone,
Welcome to this fortnight's INKspired Blog Hop!

This weeks challenge is showcasing the new Blending Brushes from Stampin' Up!
I was a little unsure at first but they provide such a flawless look.

Make sure you hop around to check out the wonderful and talented creations Teneale and I have contributed this time round!

Here's my card:

I started my card with an Evening Evergreen card base. My first layer was Thick Basic White Cardstock. This was  followed by a strip of Hand-Penned DSP with the top and bottom scalloped using the Penned Flowers Dies. I then cut a square from Evening Evergreen cardstock and a slightly smaller Thick Basic White Square. I have included a strip of 3/8" 1cm Open Weave Ribbon in Evening Evergreen. The Sentiment was stamped on Basic White and mounted on Evening Evergreen.

The background uses all of the new 2021-2023 In Colour Inks, being Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Pale Papaya. I have used the Blending Brushes to blend the colour. They are great for larger area blending but might have to stick with the daubers for smaller areas, unless I manage to use the Blending Brushes a little more delicately! The flower image comes from the Hand-Penned Stampset and is stamped in Evening Evergreen using the Stamparatus. The Sentiment also comes from the Hand-Penned Stampset and also is stamped in Evening Evergreen.

I have added some Genial Gems, which coordinate with the Hand-Penned Suite. I really like these as they seem to give a different effect when you change the angle that you look at the card.

The inside is layered with Thick Basic White Cardstock to carry on from the front of the card, then with a strip of Hand-Penned DSP and Evening Evergreen. A flower was die cut from the Penned Flowers dies in Basic White and I used the Blending Brushes to colour with Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia, the leaves, also from the same dies were cut from Evening Evergreen cardstock. These were attached with multipurpose Adhesive.

INKspired #137 Colour Challenge

Teneale has given us the following Colour Combo Challenge below:

Make sure you hop all the way around to check out the wonderful and talented creations everyone has contributed this time round!
It has been a while since we have had a colour challenge.

How about you have a go with this Colour Challenge?
I would love to see what you come up with!

When I seen these colours, I showed my husband and he said straight away, it has to be Camouflage!!
I made a card for a friend recently with Camo and he loved it!

There is more to Stampin Up! then just making cards, it opens up to many different crafts using top quality products such as Paper Crafts, Gift Boxes, Scrapbooking - the possibilities are endless with the skill level from beginner to advanced, fun for all!!

I managed to use all the colours adding Basic Black and Basic White (as permitted) Here's my card:

I started my card with a Soft Sea Foam card base. My first layer was some Crumb Cake Cardstock. This was  followed by a layer of Basic White which I cut a half oval from the layered Oval Dies for the impression of a T-Shirt. The next layer (cut the same size) was Crumb Cake in which I used the Hyrdranger Haven Stampset background images to give the camouflage image stamping in Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, Just Jade and Pear Pizzazz Inks. The example of this is below:

I used the Suit & Tie Dies to cut the V in the Jacket, the lapel, buttons and pocket all from the camouflage printed Card stock. The pocket and Lapel was popped up with dimensionals and a piece  of Basic White Card scrap was placed behind the pocket to imitate a note or a letter.
The Sentiment is from the Handsomely Suited Stamp Set and was stamped in Just Jade also on the camouflage card stock. This was die cut using the Rectangle Dies. A piece of Basic Black Cardstock was also cut from the Rectangle Dies and placed behind, popped up on dimensionals and 2 Matte Black Dots were added.

The inside is layered with Crumb Cake Cardstock to carry on from the front of the card, then Basic White. The Sentiment has been stamped from the Handsomely Suited stamp set. I have stamped it with Just Jade. The additions to the top and bottom of the layer were cut from the camouflage cardstock and basic black using the rectangle dies and buttons are cut in basic black from the Suit & Die Dies.

INKspired #136 Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone.
Welcome to this fortnight's INKspired Blog Hop!

Before me on the hop was Teresa Irwin, please hop back and check out her creation

This weeks challenge is based upon the Sketch Challenge below, designed by Teneale Williams:

How about you have a go with this Sketch Challenge?
I would love to see what you come up with!

I started my card with a Basic White card base. My first layer was some True Love Designer Series Paper. This was  followed by a strip of Basic Black, then a slightly smaller strip of Silver Foil Sheet and then slightly smaller Basic White strip.

A background swipe of colour on the strip of Basic White was created from a swipe of Versamark which was heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.
"Always" was die cut from the Always Dies set in Rococo Rose Cardstock.
I then added a little bling with with a Heart Charm and Matte Black Dots.
A bow finished the card off made from Linen Thread.

The inside is layered with Rococo Rose Cardstock to carry on from the front of the card, then Basic White with a strip of True Love DSP and Rococo Rose. A few flowers were coloured with a Rococo Rose Marker and Rococo Rose Ink applied with a Blending Brush, They are so easy to use!
