INKspired Sketch Bloghop 117

Hi everyone.
Welcome to this fortnight's INKspired Blog Hop!

Before me on the hop was Teneale Williams, who I'm sure gave you inspiration with her creation using the sketch below:
Make sure you hop all the way around to check out the wonderful and talented creations everyone has contributed this time round!

How about you have a go with this Sketch Challenge?
I would love to see what you come up with!

I started with a Misty Moonlight card base. I began my layering with a strip of 2020-2022 In Colour DSP in Misty Moonlight. I then cut 2 Squares using the Layering Square Dies with Scalloped Edging cutting 3 sides off to create a straight edge with my Paper Trimmer. I used my Die Machine together with the straight die included in the Stitched Nestled Label Dies set to create the top and bottom decorative lines, these were then attached to the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then attached another piece of the 2020-2022 In Colour DSP, the reverse side of my first strip, in Misty Moonlight. For the sentiment I used the Nestled Label Dies and cut the first layer in Misty Moonlight and the 2nd layer in Whisper White. Happy Birthday came from the stamp set Peaceful Moments and was stamped in Misty Moonlight. I added some 2020-2022 Misty Moonlight Enamel Dots. For some colour I fussy cut sunflowers from the Flowers for Every Season DSP and highlighted them with Wink of Stella.

The inside was layered Whisper White. The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight and the stamp was again from Peaceful Moments. For a little colour I added a strip of DSP from the Flowers for Every Season where the front flowers were cut from.

Quite a plain card but I think it would be suitable for anyone.

INKspired Colour Combo Bloghop 116 - Good Morning Magnolia

Hi everyone.
I am excited with my first entry into INKspired Blog Hop!
A great big THANK YOU to Maree McIntosh for her patience and help

Before me on the hop was Sharon Arklay
Make sure you hop all the way around to check out the wonderful and talented creations everyone has contributed this time round!

I have been looking at other challenges and look forward to being apart of these going forward.
It is fun to be put out of your comfort zone and really explore your creativity!

How about you have a go with this Colour Challenge Combo?
I would love to see what you come up with!

Our challenge is to use the below four colours (or what you can)

I just love the stamp set Good Morning Magnolia, so beautiful in so many ways.

I began with a Basic Grey Card Base. My 1st layer was Crushed Curry. My second layer being Rich Razzleberry was embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
I then stamped the Magnolia onto Water Colour paper which I fussy cut and used Watercolour pencils in Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry, then used a blender pen to move some colour around, trying to get good, deep shading on the curls and base of the petals.
The Leaves were die cut, in Mossy Meadow, from the Magnolia Memory Dies. The Sentiment was stamped on Whisper White also from the Good Morning Magnolia set with Rich Razzleberry ink and layered on Crushed Curry these were die cut from the Layering Oval Dies.
Layers, leaves and sentiment was attached with Tombo and the Magnolia was stood up with Dimensionals. The Magnolia and Leaves were given a little curl encouragement with my Bone Folder.

I always get a little worried that the inside sentiment will not be what is required or in the right time setting when used and often leave these blank and either stamp at the time of sharing or leave it for more words, I like to write as much as I can in the card, giving it a more personal touch.
The Inside, as the front was, layered with Crushed Curry, then Rich Razzleberry and finished off with Whisper White. The Sentiment stamped in Rich Razzleberry and the Magnolias in Basic Black and coloured with Rich Razzleberry Watercolour pencil, both stamps also from the Good Morning Magnolia set. I added some finishing touches by using the Trio Punch and a little sponging in Rich Razzleberry.
